To encourage the class-teaching quality of teachers in School of Business Administration, Faculty Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning and School of Business Administration jointly held a teaching salon in the large seminar room, the fifth floor, of the Center for Teacher Development in Xulun Building on Songjiang campus. This was the first teaching salon organized by a secondary college in this semester. This salon was hosted by Xu Xiaolong, Deputy Dean of School of Business Administration, nearly 40 young and middle-aged teachers participated in this salon activity both online and offline.

This salon was themed as “Management cases’ application in teaching”, lectured by Chen Yu, the Assistant Professor in School of Business Administration. Professor Chen firstly introduced her motivation and opportunity to develop teaching cases, as well as the three stages of exploration of case teaching. Then, she shared her inspiration in the light of her experience in developing teaching cases for the China Business Administration International Case Bank and the China Case Sharing Center's "100 Best" case bank. After the sharing, Professor Chen Yu patiently answered the questions raised by teachers on case development and case teaching. They had an impassioned discussion on related issues, and the atmosphere was quite active.

Finally, Niu Yuanyuan, Deputy Director of Faculty Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning in School concluded the teaching salon, who also claimed that case teaching boasted great significance in the class teaching of finance and economics colleges. The sharing of case development and teaching experience in this salon was exemplary and had positive significance to motivate more teachers to participate in teaching case development and carry out case teaching. The seminar salon was successfully concluded with a cordial discussion.
